Boxing Fans Are Urgently Warning Jake Paul After Latest Mike Tyson Training Footage

Boxing enthusiasts and industry figures are responding to new training footage of Mike Tyson as he prepares for his November 15 bout with Jake Paul, with some urging the social media personality to reconsider the matchup.

According to The Mirror, the footage shows Tyson, 58, dropping a sparring partner during training and performing weight-lifting exercises. This follows earlier training clips that featured only brief snippets of action, which had prompted speculation about his endurance capabilities.

Gene Kilroy, Tyson’s longtime associate and former manager to Muhammad Ali, offers a firsthand assessment of Tyson’s current condition.

“This is the strongest I’ve ever seen you, and I’ve known you since you were 13 years old,” Kilroy stated in response to the recent training footage.

The matchup, structured as a professional fight, will consist of eight two-minute rounds with both fighters wearing 14oz gloves. Tyson’s most recent appearance was an exhibition draw against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, while his last professional bout ended in retirement against Kevin McBride in 2005.

Paul has maintained his confidence despite the circulating footage. Responding to a video of Tyson lifting weights, Paul commented, “Fair play Mike. You look incredible. Hulk —-. But I’m still ——- you up in 20 days.”

The fight has drawn attention from professional boxers, including British heavyweight Joe Joyce, who publicly expressed support for Tyson.

Some fans are drawing parallels between Tyson’s current physical condition and athletes like LeBron James, noting that Tyson appears to maintain “speed and power resembling that of a 28-year-old.”

The event previously faced a setback when Tyson withdrew due to an inflamed ulcer, but he now maintains he is fit to compete.

Netflix is set to release a three-part documentary series, “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson,” ahead of the match. The documentary will give viewers exclusive access to both fighters’ training camps and showcase their preparations and challenges. The first two episodes are scheduled to air on November 7, with the final episode following on November 12.
