Need To Buy Tickets For Live Events? Look No Further Than TikTok

TikTok has announced a new partnership with AXS, a global ticket seller, to offer fans a new way to discover and purchase tickets to live events for their favorite artists.

The feature is now live in the US, UK, Sweden, and Australia. The integration streamlines the ticket-buying process, allowing music enthusiasts worldwide to seamlessly explore and secure seats for concerts and festivals within the TikTok platform itself.

This experience enables any Certified Artist to organically expand their reach to both new and existing followers on the video-sharing app. Promoting live dates is as simple as appending AXS event links when publishing video content.

“TikTok’s partnership with AXS allows us to connect millions of users with legendary artists, venues, and festivals, and allows artists to promote their live dates and reach their audience in a whole new way,” Michael Kümmerle, TikTok’s Global Music Partnership Development Lead, said in the announcement. “We are very excited to start this journey with AXS and look forward to supporting the further growth of ticketing on TikTok.”

Marc Ruxin, Chief Strategy Officer for AXS, added, “TikTok has become one of the most important global platforms for music content, attracting an incredible community of artists and fans. Combining TikTok artists’ reach and influence with AXS’s global ticketing platform, the partnership provides seamless ticket-buying access to iconic venues, festivals, and tours worldwide. It exemplifies discovery-driven content and commerce for music fans.”

TikTok is now an official discovery partner within the AXS Anywhere program alongside industry leaders like Spotify and Bandsintown. The program enables venues, artists, and partners to drive ticket sales by targeting fans during the event discovery process with personalized offers and experiences.

The AXS feature is similar to one offered through TikTok’s 2022 partnership with Ticketmaster, whose parent company, Live Nation, could potentially face an antitrust lawsuit from the Department of Justice over alleged efforts to stifle competition among ticket sellers.
