Tequila For Your Coffee? Kendall Jenner And Emma Chamberlain’s Unexpected Collab Is Poised To Make The Grade
Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila and Emma Chamberlain’s Chamberlain Coffee have joined forces to settle a long-standing debate: whether tequila makes the best spirit for espresso martinis. The two brands announced they have created a limited-edition line of co-branded products designed to produce what they claim is the definitive version of the famous cocktail.
At the heart of the collaboration are Chamberlain Coffee’s new Candied Pecan Cold Brew Singles, flavored with notes of maple and candied pecan to complement the taste of 818 Tequila Reposado. The cold brew singles allow consumers to craft espresso martinis without an espresso machine by simply mixing the concentrated brew with 818’s tequila.
In addition to the cold brew, the brands are offering a limited Espresso Martini Kit Bundle containing the singles, a cocktail shaker, and a martini glass for $72 on Chamberlain Coffee’s website. The individual items – the cold brew ($16), shakers ($28), glasses ($25), and co-branded baby tees ($55) – are also available separately online and through the delivery app GoPuff in select cities.
According to the announcement, the partnership aims to give consumers a chance to experience the tequila-based espresso martini both at home and in select New York and Los Angeles restaurants from April 24 through April 28, including LAVO, Belles Beach House, Élephante, Little Ruby’s, Dudley’s, Happiest Hour, and KYU.
“Working with Kendall and 818 was a blast,” Emma Chamberlain, founder of Chamberlain Coffee, said in the announcement. “We played around and created a unique espresso martini that we know people will love – the nutty, sweet flavors of the cold brew and reposado tequila are perfect together.”
818 Tequila founder Kendall Jenner added, “I’m so happy 818 is collaborating with Chamberlain. Emma and I wanted our brands to do something fun together, and we’re not only creating something delicious, but we’re also settling the debate that espresso martinis taste best made with tequila.”
The limited-edition collaboration allows fans to try the co-branded products at home or sample the cocktail at participating restaurants. Both brands will promote the effort on their websites, Gopuff, YouTube, and Instagram.
