Billion Dollar Boy Bets Big On Creator Economy With Membership Launch
Influencer agency Billion Dollar Boy (BDB) unveiled a creator community membership program called FiveTwoNine: The Creator Club on Thursday. The move expands the agency’s consultative services and partnerships in the growing creator economy.
“Founded with creator-entrepreneurs, for creator-entrepreneurs, our mission is to accelerate emerging creators’ careers by providing them the tools and resources to succeed in the business of being a creator,” BDB wrote on LinkedIn.
The membership program is designed to cater to the business needs of influencers and creators, while also fostering brand partnerships. It offers a range of benefits, including physical space at BDB’s London headquarters, educational resources, exclusive events, and access to a comprehensive online platform.
The pilot launches in the U.K. with a free four-month trial in partnership with Lipton. Six founding creators are involved initially, including food bloggers Henry Firth and Ian Theasby of BOSH! Pricing tiers and paid memberships will follow in the fall.
“We will equip creators with the tools to thrive – as content creators, as founders, as business leaders. We’re working with brands, platforms, VCs, manufacturers, legal firms.. the whole ecosystem, to set a new standard,” wrote Becky Owen, BDB’s Global Head of FiveTwoNine and Global CMO.
The program stems from recent BDB and CORQ research identifying services that are lacking for creators. 73% want affordable access to business coaches and consultants for pricing, fees, and negotiation guidance. 53% seek advice on the latest trends and platform updates. Half want general business support, creator-centric events, and masterclasses from other creators.
BDB will also expand the use of AI with the creator program through its Muse division for emerging tech and AI, which is also headed by Owen. “As we celebrate our decade in business, we believe it is time to give back to the heart and soul of our industry: creators,” the LinkedIn post reads.
