MrBeast Industries, the media and entertainment company founded by YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, has appointed Jeffrey Housenbold as its new President and Chief Operating Officer. Housenbold, a seasoned executive and venture capitalist, will be based at the company’s headquarters in Greenville.

In a LinkedIn post, Housenbold expressed his enthusiasm for joining MrBeast Industries, stating, “We are on a mission to build an extraordinary media and consumer product and services company that has a positive impact on the world.” He elaborated on the company’s mission to “explore new frontiers, create unforgettable experiences, and build a legacy that inspires future generations.”

The industry vet is known for his successful tenure as CEO of Shutterfly, where he led the company through an IPO and numerous acquisitions, transforming it into a major e-commerce player. In his new role at MrBeast Industries, Housenbold will be responsible for driving the company’s growth and expanding its reach.

Donaldson’s YouTube channel recently surpassed T-Series to become the most subscribed channel on the platform, with 271 million subscribers as of writing. The company’s snack food brand, Feastables, is expected to generate $500 million in revenue by 2024, Donaldson told The Time. However, he also noted that his production company is not yet profitable despite annual revenues estimated between $600 million and $700 million.

Before joining MrBeast Industries, Housenbold held leadership positions at eBay, SoftBank Investment Advisers, and Sutter Hill Ventures. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and holds undergraduate degrees from Carnegie Mellon University.

Housenbold’s appointment follows MrBeast Industries’ recent split from its talent management company, Night Media. Donaldson, who has amassed a massive following across various social media platforms, stated that he needed to start building an internal team for the company.
