Logan Paul’s Prime Faces Major Lawsuit: $68M At Stake In Bottling Dispute

Prime Hydration LLC, the sports drink company founded by influencers Logan Paul and KSI, is facing a $68 million lawsuit from bottler Refresco Beverages US Inc. for alleged breach of contract.

The legal action, filed on August 2 in Delaware’s Chancery Court, claims Prime reneged on a three-year deal.

Refresco alleges that Prime attempted to back out of its commitments when it realized the slowdown in demand “likely was not just seasonal” but stemmed from “the fading of the social media buzz that had powered” the brand’s quick rise.

The bottler states it had significantly invested in customizing its production line for Prime’s specifications.

According to Bloomberg, the preliminary agreement included a minimum volume commitment and a “take or pay” provision, requiring Prime to pay a fixed fee per case if order volumes fell short.

Refresco claims Prime repeatedly delayed finalizing a master services agreement before attempting to withdraw from the arrangement entirely.

While Logan Paul and KSI are not named as defendants, the lawsuit seeks to recover Refresco’s “unrecouped costs” and lost profits.

Prime, which boasts promotional ties to major athletes and sports franchises, including WWE Inc., Kevin Durant, and FC Barcelona, has not yet responded to Bloomberg’s requests for comment or made a court appearance.

This isn’t the first time Prime has faced legal challenges. In late July, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) filed a federal lawsuit against the sports drink company, alleging trademark infringement.

In May, Prime faced a class action lawsuit alleging the drinks contained more than 200 mg of caffeine than advertised.
