Netflix To Drop 3-Part Documentary Ahead Of The Nov. 15 Boxing Showdown Between Jake Paul, Mike Tyson
Netflix announced a new three-part documentary series, “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson,” to premiere in early November.
The series will offer an inside look at Jake “El Gallo” Paul and Mike “Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson’s preparations for their high-profile boxing match on November 15.
The documentary will give viewers exclusive access to both fighters’ training camps and showcase their preparations and challenges. The first two episodes are scheduled to air on November 7, with the final episode following on November 12.
In addition to the Paul-Tyson matchup, the series will also cover the build-up to the co-main event: a rematch between undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano, also set for November 15.
“Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson” will feature interviews with the fighters’ inner circles and behind-the-scenes footage of their training routines.
EverWonder Studio is producing the documentary, with Ian Orefice and Michael Antinoro serving as executive producers. Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker are directing the series.
The boxing match was originally scheduled for July 20, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Dallas but was postponed due to Tyson’s medical issues.
This release marks Netflix’s latest venture into sports documentaries, providing content that connects traditional boxing coverage and the growing influence of digital creators in combat sports.
