Ex-DBA Talent Manager Gerald Leonard Unveiled As Head Of Currents Management’s Fashion & Beauty Division
Digital talent agency Currents Management appointed Gerald Leonard as Senior Manager of its newly established Beauty & Fashion Division.
Leonard has over six years of experience in the media industry, having worked as a senior talent manager at Digital Brand Architects (DBA).
Leonard’s portfolio includes managing high-profile digital talents such as Kate Bartlett, Jayla Henry, and Chloe Lukasiak. His industry recognition includes being named in Business Insider’s 2023 list of the 20 most influential TikTok talent managers and agents.
During his three-year tenure in talent management, Leonard has developed relationships with major brands, including L’Oréal, LVMH, Dior, Unilever, and Estée Lauder. His expertise aligns with Currents Management’s strategy to expand its services in the beauty and fashion sectors.
“The opportunity to lead the Beauty and Fashion Division at such a forward-thinking company is incredibly exciting,” Leonard said in a news release. “I look forward to leveraging my experience and network to drive new opportunities for our clients and help expand the company’s reach in this space.”
“[Leonard’s] deep understanding of the beauty and fashion industries, coupled with his extensive relationships and hands-on approach, will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our offerings in these sectors,” stated Cameron Ajdari, co-founder of Currents Management.
Leonard’s appointment follows two recent hires at Currents Management. Evalee Mach and Liran Maayani joined earlier this year as Talent Coordinators from The Gersh Agency and Innovative Artists, respectively.
Currents Management, led by husband-and-wife duo Cameron and Nilou Ajdari, has built its reputation on a personalized approach to talent management. The firm tailors strategies for the long-term growth of its digital creator roster, which has recently expanded to include names in comedy, lifestyle, and family content.
A recent report from IMARC Group projects the global fashion influencer marketing market will surge from $5 billion in 2023 to $86.1 billion by 2032. Key drivers include social media platforms, demand for authentic and relatable content, and digital formats like live streaming and virtual try-ons.
