Belgian 3D Animation Platform Swoove Studios Raises $7.5M, Launches Creator Marketplace In The U.S.
Swoove Studios, a Belgian 3D animation software company, has secured $7.5 million in seed funding from European angel investors, bringing its total funding to $11 million since its 2020 launch.
The Antwerp-based company develops Swoove, an AI-powered platform that enables users to create 3D animation videos without prior experience. The platform currently serves thousands of creators across more than 100 countries.
With the funding announcement, Swoove Studios has expanded into the U.S. market by launching its digital asset marketplace. The marketplace allows users to buy and sell user-generated digital assets, including clothing items, marking the first such community for the platform.
“We have created a unique platform and become the go-to for 3D animation globally,” said Rudy Verbeeck, co-founder and CEO of Swoove Studios, in a news release. “We plan to implement updates to give users more of what they are asking for, including building opportunities for monetization and allowing further integration with other services for new platform and brand partnerships.”
Following the funding round, Swoove Studios has initiated a strategic review to explore growth options, including potential investment opportunities and a complete business sale. Lazarus Consulting, a boutique M&A advisory firm, is managing the review process exclusively, and preliminary discussions with potential domestic and international partners are already underway.
The company’s platform combines accessibility features for beginners with advanced tools for experienced creators, focusing on intuitive controls for 3D animation creation.
