Acast Acquires Female-Founded Wonder Media Network to Empower Advertisers, Expand U.S. Operations
Independent podcast company Acast has announced the acquisition of Wonder Media Network (WMN), a creative studio based in New York City.
The deal combines WMN with Acast’s existing creative team to form Acast Creative Studios, a new division focused on integrated campaigns and branded content solutions.
The acquisition expands Acast’s U.S. presence and enhances its ability to deliver omnichannel campaigns spanning audio, video, social media, and live events. WMN founders Jenny Kaplan and Shira Atkins will lead the new division, bringing their experience creating content for global brands, including Nike, Pfizer, GE, and Mercedes Benz.
“This acquisition significantly expands our U.S. operations with the introduction of a highly experienced content studio – in both original and branded, empowering advertisers to create even more impactful campaigns across audio and beyond,” Acast CEO Ross Adams said in a press release. He noted that Acast Creative Studios will provide comprehensive solutions for the growing demand for innovative, multi-channel campaigns.

Founded in 2018 by former award-winning journalist Kaplan and co-founder Atkins, WMN specializes in audio-first storytelling and has developed campaigns across multiple platforms. Under the new structure, the studio’s original content division will continue producing premium podcasts.
“WMN’s mission is so tightly aligned with that of Acast – bringing important and change-making stories to the world,” Kaplan stated. “Together, we will allow both creators and advertisers to reach new audiences, build successful businesses, and shape the future of audio.”
Acast entered the Japanese market in July by partnering with Otonal Inc., the country’s leading digital audio advertising agency.
