Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network Ends Partnership With Alix Earle’s ‘Hot Mess’ Podcast
Unwell Network, the production company founded by “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper, has terminated its relationship with TikTok influencer Alix Earle’s “Hot Mess” podcast.
Variety confirms SiriusXM will no longer sell advertising for the show, and Unwell Network relinquishes all rights to the podcast, allowing Earle to pursue other opportunities.
Network Reshuffles Creator Lineup Amid Expansion
The separation occurs as social media speculation grows about tensions between Cooper and Earle. Earle’s absence from an Unwell Network Super Bowl event in New Orleans, despite being in the city at the time, fueled rumors of a rift between the content creators.
Earle joined Unwell Network in August 2023 when Cooper launched the venture as a production platform targeting Gen Z audiences with unique voices that embrace social challenges and personal insecurities through honest conversation.
The initial talent roster also included Madeline Argy, host of “Pretty Lonesome,” with plans for multiplatform content spanning pop culture, beauty, fashion and lifestyle verticals.
Unwell Network operates as a subsidiary of Trending, the media company Cooper established with her fiancé Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment. The network expanded its relationship with SiriusXM in August 2024, launching Unwell Music and Unwell on Air, which features programs including “The Daily Dirty” and “The Dialed In Show.”
Despite Earle’s departure, Unwell continues to build its creator portfolio. Recent additions include Grace O’Malley’s “DisGRACEful” podcast, launched this month. The network’s lineup also features Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” and Owen Theile’s “In Your Dreams.”
Cooper’s flagship “Call Her Daddy” podcast maintains its prominence, securing high-profile guests including then-presidential candidate Kamala Harris during the 2024 election campaign.
