Podcasting 101: Why B&H’s New Workshop Series Has Creators Buzzing
B&H, the New York-based technology retailer, announced the launch of its Creator Roundtable Workshop series, starting with a focus on podcasting. The inaugural event, scheduled for July 21, 2024, is poised to provide comprehensive education for aspiring and established creators in the audio space.
“Creator Roundtable: Podcasting 101” features a panel of experienced digital creators and podcasters. Bandrew Scott, host of the YouTube channel Podcastage with 323,000 subscribers, joins Luria Petrucci, a video creator with over 1 billion collective views, and Tom Buck, whose YouTube channel boasts 145,000 subscribers.
The event’s itinerary covers key aspects of podcasting, including how to start a podcast, equipment selection, editing techniques, and publishing strategies. B&H experts will also demonstrate relevant technology during the workshop.
Andrew Swift, a B&H moderator and audio engineer, will lead the discussion. He brings experience in recording, editing, mixing, and mastering for both independent and label releases.
Petrucci, who has appeared on major news networks and worked with brands like AT&T and Samsung, specializes in helping entrepreneurs create professional videos, livestreams, and podcasts. Buck, through his podcast “The Enthusiasm Project,” discusses the challenges of being an independent creator on YouTube and maintaining a positive mindset.
The Creator Roundtable workshop offers in-person attendance at B&H’s NYC SuperStore and online participation via live stream. It begins at 2:00 PM EDT and concludes with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the panelists.
B&H plans for future events to cover topics such as portrait photography and filmmaking. The company describes the series as a recurring free event that brings together established creators to share insights on photo, video, and audio applications.
