Brat TV Acquires Electric Monster To Expand YouTube Reach

Digital entertainment studio Brat TV has acquired Electric Monster and rebranded as ZATV, aiming to broaden its presence on YouTube and other social platforms. The merger, led by Brat TV CEO Rob Fishman, combines the strengths of both companies to dominate youth-focused digital content.

A Fusion of Digital Content Powerhouses

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the newly formed ZATV brings together two major players in the youth-focused digital content space.

Brat TV, launched in 2017, gained prominence with its tween-focused show “Chicken Girls” and recently expanded into podcasting with Drew Afualo’s “The Comment Section” on Spotify. The company also acquired Eli Roth’s digital horror channel Crypt TV.

Electric Monster, founded in 2021, operates popular YouTube channels, including React, People vs. Food, and Kids Learning Tube. The merger combines Brat TV’s original programming expertise with Electric Monster’s established YouTube presence.

ZATV’s Expanded Divisions

The consolidated company will operate three additional divisions: Little Monster, a YouTube strategy and advisory firm; Beeline Talent, an influencer marketing division partnered with Snapchat’s Collab Studio; and Now Playing, which assists film and TV studios in marketing their content libraries on YouTube.

The leadership team includes executives from both companies. Ian Haft from Electric Monster joins as CFO, while Brat TV’s Nuria Anson becomes Chief Content Officer. Nicole Iizuka oversees creative, Shannon Wachtell oversees talent, Kevin Lee manages production, and Cade Hiser directs strategy. Tim Jablonski continues to run Little Monster, while Terra Sollman and Natalie Andriano lead sales and partnerships. Nathan Jordan heads the podcast division.

Brat TV’s investors include Anchorage Capital, New Line founder Bob Shaye, and A. Capital. Metropolitan Partners Group backed Electric Monster before the acquisition.
