CAA Snags “Girlies” Creator And TikToker Larray
Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has signed TikTok and YouTube star Larri Merritt, known as Larray, for representation.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the agency aims to expand Larray’s creative ventures into podcasting, touring, and new intellectual property development.
Larray, a Compton native with 28 million TikTok followers and 10 million YouTube subscribers has amassed over 1.2 billion views on YouTube. His content blends comedy and commentary, resonating with Gen Z and Gen Alpha demographics.
The digital creator’s influence extends beyond social media. Larray’s comedy singles, including “Canceled,” “First Place,” and “Last Place,” have charted on Billboard’s Comedy Tracks and garnered 41 million YouTube views. In 2023, Forbes recognized Larray in their “30 Under 30” list.
CAA’s representation will focus on launching Larray’s clothing line “Girlies” and expanding his brand partnerships. The creator has already collaborated with high-profile brands such as Coach, Prada, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Tinder, and Chipotle.
Larray’s digital success includes an appearance on Netflix’s “Hype House” reality TV show. In a 2020 Forbes profile, he emphasized his commitment to fan engagement, contrasting his approach with other influencers.
On the Hunt for Creators
This signing aligns with CAA’s strategy to deepen its involvement in the creator community and digital ecosystem.
The agency recently made several high-profile signings in the creator economy, including Anthony Dawson, aka TooTurntTony, a TikTok star with over 20 million followers who’s gained popularity through comedic short-form videos.
In March, CAA snagged Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson, an Atlanta-based law enforcement officer and video blogger, following her success with her TikTok series “Who TF Did I Marry?”, which collected over 400 million impressions in less than three weeks.
In May, LaurenZside – a YouTube sensation with 13+ million followers across social media platforms and nearly 4 billion views on YouTube – signed with CAA.
