Psychology Student By Day, Rising Influencer By Night: Meet The 20-Year-Old Redefining Content Creation
The social media world is witnessing the rise of a new voice capturing brand attention and audience hearts. Chloe Gajic, a 20-year-old psychology student, is expanding the content creators ranks, leveraging her unique perspective as a neurodivergent individual to carve out a distinctive niche in the crowded digital space. From humble beginnings in user-generated content (UGC) to collaborations with major brands, Chloe’s journey showcases creator economy opportunities. Her recent partnership with Sintillate Talent has accelerated her growth, propelling her into high-profile events and expanding her reach. But it’s her openness about her autism and ADHD that truly makes her stand out, offering a fresh perspective on neurodiversity in content creation.
Chloe’s journey into content creation began with UGC, a strategy that allows creators to produce material for brands without requiring a large personal following. Her initial foray into the field came through an app called Clip, which introduced her to monetizing content creation. As she observed others in her network joining agencies and collaborating with brands, she became inspired to expand her horizons. “[UGC] was something I wanted to do because I’m quite creative. I love making videos. It’s like a passion of mine,” Chloe says.
The influencer’s approach to growth in the industry involves networking with fellow creators and learning from their experiences. She has since joined an agency and begun pitching to brands directly, including some she had long aspired to work with.
Sintillate Talent: A Catalyst for Growth
Chloe’s partnership with Sintillate Talent elevated her career to new heights in her content creation journey. The agency caught Chloe’s attention through targeted advertising and positive reviews, offering collaboration opportunities with brands she had long aspired to work with. “I was reading about them and seeing lots of positive reviews. And I also saw that it was free, and they worked with many brands I’ve always wanted to work with,” Chloe explains.
Despite being with Sintillate for only a month, Chloe reports impressive progress. The agency’s approach extends beyond mere brand connections, fostering a highly supportive community that Chloe values. “They spread a lot of awareness about mental health, and they make us all feel comfortable and part of a safe space,” she notes.
Chloe credits Sintillate with boosting her confidence and motivation for content creation. In just one month, she has participated in over five events and collaborations through the agency. A recent PrettyLittleThing showroom event stands out as particularly impactful for Chloe. Initially nervous about attending alone, she found herself warmly welcomed by fellow creators. “When I got there, everyone was just so friendly and welcoming, complimenting my outfit, helping me with content,” Chloe recounts.
This experience solidified the aspiring influencer’s sense of belonging in the content creator community. “I just thought to myself, this is my community,” she reflects.
The London Explorer: How Chloe Carved Her Content Niche
Chloe acknowledges that her initial posts were simple and needed a more strategic approach, which she now employs. “I was just sharing photos of myself and little random bits and pieces with products I enjoy and things like that,” she recalls of her early content.
As she gained experience, Chloe developed a more sophisticated understanding of content creation. “I’ve learned how to improve the quality, entice the audience, and use captions to get people interested,” she explains.
Chloe has found her niche in lifestyle and travel content, particularly focusing on London-based experiences. “I love going to new restaurants and different places around London because I go there a lot,” she says. This focus has led to her developing a “let’s visit series,” showcasing various locations and activities in the city.
Her content now often includes collaborations with restaurants and spa venues, providing her audience insights into local experiences. Chloe also incorporates her personal life into her content, sometimes featuring her boyfriend in her travels, offering “a little insight into [their] relationship.”
Initially, the social media star faced challenges related to confidence and fear of judgment, especially as she transitioned her personal account into a content creation platform. “At the start, I was just worried about a little bit of judgment and what people would think and like if people would leave comments and say things,” she admits. However, with support from family and friends, Chloe overcame these fears.
Her attitude towards public opinion has changed. “I cared about what other people think. And of course I still do today, but I feel like a bit less now,” Chloe reflects. This shift in mindset has been crucial to her growth as a content creator, allowing her to focus on her passion and the opportunities it brings.
Crafting Content: From Concept to Execution
Chloe’s content creation process blends meticulous planning and adaptability. When collaborating with brands, she initiates or responds to outreach, followed by detailed discussions about project goals. “I plan on what exactly I want to do in my content from start to finish,” Chloe explains.
Scripting plays a crucial role in her process, though she remains flexible. “Sometimes I do write a script if that’s a specific way I want it to go,” she notes, acknowledging that she sometimes “freestyles” when appropriate.
Balancing content creation with personal life presents challenges for Chloe. She’s refining her posting strategy, moving from daily posts to a more measured approach. “Instead of posting daily, because apparently that doesn’t help much. So I’m going to post every few days now,” she reveals, indicating the importance of being responsive to platform dynamics.
Chloe prioritizes content variety, mixing photos and reels to cater to diverse audience preferences. She also pays close attention to captions and editing, ensuring all elements align with her vision.
To gauge content success, the influencer focuses on engagement metrics and viewership. She compares different content types to understand audience preferences, noting, “I have noticed recently that the shorter videos are a bit better than longer videos because it keeps the audience’s attention span.”
Embracing Neurodiversity
Chloe’s journey as a content creator is uniquely shaped by her experiences with autism and ADHD, diagnosed when she was ten years old. According to her, these neurodevelopmental conditions have played a significant role in her personal life and her approach to content creation.
Chloe explains the impact of her condition: “Autism is a condition where sometimes you have social difficulties. Sometimes, conversing with people and understanding the world can be hard. So I kind of see the world differently.” She also notes that ADHD affects her concentration and can lead to procrastination.
Despite initial concerns, Chloe has found that her neurodiversity positively influences her work. “It has positively impacted my content creation. Especially with my autism, it helps me see detail. It helps me be creative,” she says, adding that such a unique perspective allows her to notice aspects others might overlook, enhancing her creative output.
However, Chloe mentions challenges as well. “Sometimes I can get worried about what people think,” she admits. The fear of judgment initially made her hesitant to discuss her conditions openly on her platform. Yet, she’s gradually embracing transparency, partnering with brands like Mattr to focus on neurodiversity and share her experiences with her audience.
“I actually did partner with this brand called Mattr to focus on being neurodivergent. So I thought this is a great way to talk to my audience about what I have,” she explains. This move towards authenticity aligns with her goal to be her “true authentic self” on social media.
For other neurodivergent creators hesitant to start their journey, Chloe offers encouragement: “Although it might be hard, there are many more people than you think who have the same sort of thing as you do.” She emphasizes the importance of self-acceptance and pursuing one’s passions, regardless of perceived limitations. “Even with having a condition or disability, whatever you have, there is absolutely nothing stopping you. So you should just go out there and show the world who you are,” Chloe affirms.
Expanding Horizons in Content and Personal Growth
Chloe’s vision for the future combines content creation growth with personal development. She plans to continue her partnership with Sintillate Talent while expanding her content repertoire, particularly focusing on sharing more about her experiences with autism and ADHD. “I would like to post more content, as I mentioned, about my conditions,” Chloe reveals.
Exploring new platforms is also on her agenda, with Chloe considering starting a blog to diversify her content offerings. Her upcoming study abroad experience in Canada presents an exciting opportunity for content creation. “I’m going there for four months, so I think that’ll be really good for my content creation journey,” she enthuses.
Reflecting on her rapid growth from 500 to 12,000 followers since February, Chloe encourages aspiring creators: “If you put in the hard work, you can get there.”
