UK Influencer Chloe Walsh Expands Beauty Brand To Multi-Functional Brick-And-Mortar Shop
Chloe Walsh, 26, is set to open a new store for her beauty brand, Clomaná Beauty, next month in Barrow, UK.
The entrepreneur, who started her business with £530 gifted by her grandmother, has built the company into a £1.5 million enterprise, reports The Westmorland Gazette.
Walsh began her career cleaning hot tubs before retraining as a makeup artist and launching her own brand in 2018, initially called Coco Cosmetics by Chloe. The business experienced moderate growth during its first two years before gaining traction in 2020.
“It really started to take off in 2020 due to viral TikToks,” Walsh said in a statement. “I was laughed at for being on TikTok – people in my local town called it ‘cringe’ – but thankfully I didn’t let their opinions stop me.”
Walsh has amassed 445,000 followers on TikTok, which has helped drive sales of her products. Clomaná Beauty is now stocked in major retailers, including Sephora, ASOS, Beauty Bay, and Boots.
Product Innovation and Diversification
The breakthrough product, the Marshmallow Sponge, transformed the brand into a seven-figure business.
The latex-free makeup applicator doubles in size when wet and was named “favorite makeup sponge of 2023 and 2024” by influential makeup artist Nikkie de Jager-Drossaers.
In 2022, Walsh expanded her product line by launching CMFRT, a luxury night and loungewear brand that has grown beyond its initial concept due to high demand.
Rebranding and Physical Expansion
After facing trademark issues with her original brand name, Walsh rebranded to Clomaná Beauty in 2023. Despite legal costs reaching “six figures,” Walsh views the rebranding as “a blessing in disguise.”
The new store, located in a former PC World unit on Ashburner Way, will function as a shop, salon, and event space open seven days a week. Walsh plans to host activities and events featuring influencers and celebrities.
The store is scheduled to open on April 17.
