YouTube Star Steps Down From $1M+ Podcast Empire Due To Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Cody Kolodziejzyk, known as Cody Ko on YouTube, is stepping away from day-to-day operations at TMG Studios, the podcast network he co-founded, following allegations of sexual misconduct with an underage influencer.

According to NBC News, the announcement comes amid mounting backlash and a significant loss of subscribers.

TMG Studios, established in 2021, houses six podcasts, including the popular “Tiny Meat Gang Podcast” co-hosted by Kolodziejzyk and Noel Miller.

The network informed paid subscribers of Kolodziejzyk’s departure on Friday evening, stating that he wants to “remove any effect this is having on your professional and personal lives and the work you and our other hosts have done to make TMG Studios so successful.”

The allegations stem from claims made by influencer Tana Mongeau, 26, who stated in June that Kolodziejzyk, now 33, had sex with her when she was 17 and he was 25.

Mongeau discussed the incident on her podcast “Cancelled” and on Trisha Paytas’ podcast “Just Trish,” describing the encounter as a “crime.”

Kolodziejzyk has not publicly addressed the allegations. However, the impact on his online presence is evident, with Social Blade data showing a loss of approximately 250,000 subscribers in the past 30 days.

The controversy has prompted reactions from other content creators.

D’Angelo Wallace, a YouTuber with 1.6 million subscribers, released a video on July 14 addressing the allegations. Subsequently, prominent creators like Jarvis Johnson issued statements condemning the alleged act.

TMG Studios’ shows have not posted new episodes in the past week. The network states that shows will resume “in the coming weeks,” with co-founder Noel Miller continuing to lead the network.

The situation has already led to departures from the network.

Drew Phillips and Enya Umanzor, hosts of “Emergency Intercom,” announced on July 19 that they would be leaving TMG Studios and producing their podcast independently.

Kolodziejzyk, who gained popularity in YouTube’s commentary space with nearly 6 million subscribers on his main channel, co-hosts the “Tiny Meat Gang Podcast” with Miller and has his show “Insanely Chill” under the TMG Studios umbrella.

Representatives for Kolodziejzyk, Mongeau, Phillips, and Umanzor have not responded to requests for comment at the time of NBC’s reporting.
