Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Announces IRL Live Stream Tour Across China, Mongolia, Hong Kong
YouTuber Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins announced plans for a multi-week streaming tour across multiple East Asian locations beginning March 24, 2025.
The content creator confirmed he would broadcast live from various cities in China, Mongolia, and Hong Kong.
“China is a big country, chat,” Speed explained during his March 19 broadcast. “I will be doing multiple streams in China in different cities. I can’t miss anything.”
The streamer revealed his plans to spend approximately one to two weeks in China alone, visiting several cities to provide extensive coverage of his experience.
Expanded Regional Coverage
Beyond mainland China, the streamer said his tour would include stops in Mongolia and Hong Kong, where he would commit to conducting additional live broadcasts.
This marks the first time the streamer’s team has released a cinematic trailer to announce such an event, suggesting increased production value for the upcoming tour.

Some viewers expressed concerns about streaming capabilities in China, where YouTube access is restricted. However, the creator confirmed his intention to stream from all three locations during the tour.
Building on Previous Success
This tour follows Speed’s successful South American tour, which spanned nine countries over several weeks.
The creator previously set his current streaming record during a 2024 broadcast from Indonesia, which attracted over one million concurrent viewers during his Southeast Asia tour.
The upcoming IRL (In Real Life) streams begin this week as Speed continues his pattern of global travel content that has previously included locations ranging from Norway to India.
Live streaming viewership reached 32.5 billion hours watched in 2024, approaching the industry’s 2021 pandemic-era record of 34.6 billion hours, according to Stream Hatchet data. Analysts note that this 12% year-over-year increase from 2023’s 28.9 billion hours demonstrates the industry’s expansion beyond pandemic-driven growth.
