Former “Love Island” Contestant Turned Influencer Molly-Mae Hague Is Launching Her Fashion Brand “Maebe”
Molly-Mae Hague, a 25-year-old influencer and former ‘Love Island’ contestant, will launch her new fashion brand, Maebe, on September 29, 2024.
The announcement comes weeks after her separation from Tommy Fury and follows speculation fueled by her YouTube channel hints and TikTok fan investigations.
Per the Independent, Maebe, registered at the same address as Hague’s existing fake tan brand Filter, gained attention when its Instagram account, @Maebestore, amassed 80,000 followers before the official announcement. The account initially followed only Hague.
The brand is described as a contemporary womenswear line offering clothes and accessories. While specific designs remain undisclosed, the collection is expected to reflect Hague’s personal style, including elevated basics, blazers, separates, statement coats, and evening wear.
Pricing details are unavailable, but the Independent positions Maebe as an “accessible luxury,” anticipating most items to be priced under £100.
Hague’s venture into fashion entrepreneurship follows her previous role as creative director at Pretty Little Thing, which she left in 2023. Maebe represents her first independent fashion brand, offering her increased creative control.
Hague’s transition from reality TV personality to fashion brand owner reflects a growing trend of influencers leveraging their social media presence to create direct-to-consumer brands.
In July, activewear brand TALA, founded by influencer Grace Beverley, secured a £5 million funding round from prominent investors to expand internationally.
A March report from IMARC Group projected the global fashion influencer marketing market will surge from $5 billion in 2023 to $86.1 billion by 2032, exhibiting a 35.7% compound annual growth rate over the 2024-2032 forecast period.
