Gymshark Taps Fitness Influencer Whitney Simmons As Creative Director Of Adapt Line

UK-based fitness apparel company Gymshark announced the appointment of fitness influencer Whitney Simmons as the first-ever Creative Director of its Adapt Seamless line. 

Simmons has long advocated for the Adapt Seamless range. Her new role involves shaping the line’s future direction.

“Adapt has always been that little confidence boost when I needed it most,” Simmons said in an interview with Gymshark. “I know the impact this collection can have on women everywhere.”. 

“So, to become its FIRST-EVER Creative Director? Humbled, honored, and speechless,” Simmons added. 

As Creative Director, Simmons plans to maintain the core elements of the Adapt line while introducing new aesthetic details and expanding the range with new patterns, silhouettes, and colorways, focusing on confidence-boosting designs.

The appointment aligns with Gymshark’s long-term strategy to strengthen its connection with its target audience through influencers. 

Simmons, who has previously collaborated with Gymshark on several collections, brings her experience as both a content creator and a product user to the role.

Simmons’ journey in the fitness industry began after a personal setback when she was cut from her college cheerleading team. She turned to weightlifting and started sharing her experiences on social media, gradually building a substantial following.

As part of her new role, Simmons is already influencing upcoming releases. 

The announcement says the next Adapt collection will feature two new colors in a Safari print: an olive shade and a sorbet orange, designed to be mixed, matched, or worn as monochrome outfits.
