Instagram Multiplying Creator Earning Potential In These 10 Markets
Instagram announced on Friday that it is expanding its creator marketplace to 10 new countries. The marketplace connects brands with creators to foster collaboration opportunities. The new regions include South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Mexico, Argentina, and Indonesia.
Meta first introduced this marketplace feature in 2022 to facilitate paid partnerships between select creators and brands in the U.S. It later added thousands more creators and brands to the program in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Japan, India, and Brazil.
The expansion to 18 countries enables creators meeting Instagram’s criteria in those markets to specify topics of interest and get discovered by relevant companies seeking paid collaboration.
To join, creators must be at least 18 years old, hold an Instagram professional account, and have a large following, though the company does not specify the number of followers required. Once approved, creators gain access to an inbox showing inbound partnership opportunities from brands.
While Chinese creators cannot access Instagram, TechCrunch says the marketplace allows China-based brands to connect with creators in eligible regions.
