Levellr Secures $1.75M Funding To Turn Discord Engagement Into Measurable ROI For Brands
Community analytics platform Levellr has announced a $1.75 million funding round led by gaming and media industry veterans, marking its transition from a bootstrapped operation to a venture-backed company.
The firm, which reached breakeven in Q2 2024, develops tools for measuring community engagement on platforms like Discord and Telegram.
Dylan Collins, who previously sold SuperAwesome to Epic Games, will join Levellr as chairman. Other investors include former Benchmark partner and Discord board member Mitch Lasky and former Nexon CEO Owen Mahoney, along with executives from Krafton, Riot Games, Amazon, and SuperAwesome.
The company’s software integrates with Discord and Telegram to analyze community engagement metrics. According to Levellr’s data, Discord users demonstrate a six times higher value than non-Discord users, providing quantitative evidence of the impact of community platforms on brand performance.
Founded in 2021, Levellr operates with a distributed team of 22 employees across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. The platform captures and analyzes billions of data points to measure engagement and sentiment within brand communities, offering insights into how community participation affects business metrics like playtime and revenue generation.
The company plans to expand its platform capabilities with Reddit integration in 2025, aiming to provide brands with consolidated analytics across multiple community platforms.
Reddit recently unveiled the potential of its niche communities. According to the platform’s data, sports are one of the platform’s most popular and fastest-growing interest groups. In July, the platform hosted over 1,000 active sports communities, generating 20.4 billion screen views and 249 million global monthly engagements, up 26% year over year.
