Logitech G, Streamlabs Introduce AI Game Highlighter To Revamp Live Streaming
Logitech G announced the introduction of AI Game Highlighter, a new feature for its subsidiary Streamlabs to enhance content creation for live streamers.
The company unveiled the tool at its Logi Play event, presenting it as a solution to help content creators expand their reach across multiple platforms.
The AI Game Highlighter automatically identifies key moments from game streams and compiles them into highlight reels. This feature integrates with Streamlabs Desktop broadcasting software, allowing streamers to transform their content into shorter, platform-specific videos with a single click.
“Streamlabs’ AI Game Highlighter allows streamers to automatically repurpose their Twitch stream into evergreen content that appeals to a wider audience across their favorite content platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more,” said Ashray Urs, Head of Streamlabs, in a news release.
The tool’s features include automatic post-stream gameplay highlight clips, clip compilation into a single video, import capabilities for past streams, and options to add music and transitions. Users can directly upload to YouTube or download content to share across other platforms, with TikTok uploads planned for a future update.
Initially, AI Game Highlighter will support Fortnite, with plans to expand to other games. It will be available this fall as a free feature in Streamlabs Desktop.
Streamlabs has been on the move lately. In a recent interview with Net Influencer, Urs unveiled two integrations to reshape the streaming industry: a plugin for OBS Studio and a collaboration with TikTok.
The plugin allows OBS users to access key Streamlabs features, streamlining the streaming process. The TikTok collaboration simplifies the process for creators to live stream on TikTok Live directly through Streamlabs Desktop.
“We are constantly listening to feedback from our community and working to implement new features that allow greater audience engagement and customization options for streamers,” Urs revealed in the interview.
