Mavely Hits $675M+ GMV Run Rate, $37M+ Creator Payouts

Everyday influencer platform Mavely has reported major growth milestones in the first half of 2024.

The company achieved a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) run rate exceeding $675 million, up over 175% growth from last year. Mavely claims this figure approaches the estimated GMV run rate of Shopify’s Shop app.

The current GMV run rate is based on a three-month average transaction volume from May to July 2024.

The company’s take rate ranges between 10% and 40% of GMV, varying by sales and influencers. Affiliate earning percentages for creators are determined by individual brands and listed within the Mavely app.

For context, Marketplace Pulse estimates Shopify Shop’s GMV to be approaching $1 billion, based on a reported $100 million GMV during one month in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Creator Earnings

Creator earnings on the platform have reached new heights. Mavely reports paying its creators over $37 million in commissions, bonuses, campaign fees, and other incentives. In 2024 alone, creator earnings from January through July surpass $16 million.

The platform has expanded its brand partnerships, adding over 250 new brands this year, including ELEMIS, Etsy, and Samsung. This growth brings Mavely’s total brand partner count to over 1,250, including established retailers like Old Navy and QVC.

Mavely’s user base continues to expand, with 35,000 new creators joining the platform this year.

The company reports facilitating more than 5.6 million influencer-driven purchases in 2024.

Industry Recognition

Recent industry recognition includes the Rakuten Advertising 2024 Golden Link Award for Best Influencer Marketing Strategy, specifically for Mavely’s work with Shop Premium Outlets. The company also received a Chicago Innovation Award.

To foster community growth, Mavely has introduced regional Mavely Meetups, in-person events designed to connect influencers with peers and brands while providing educational opportunities.

“We are committed to continually adding value and fostering a community where everyday creators are empowered to monetize their content, all while delivering performance marketing results for our brand partners,” Mavely CEO Evan Wray said in a news release.
