Moburst’s Kitcaster Acquisition Signals Push Into Podcast Marketing
Mobile-first digital marketing agency Moburst has acquired podcast booking agency Kitcaster as podcast listenership grows worldwide. The acquisition represents Moburst’s fourth in five years and second in the past five months.
Founded in 2017 by Brandy Whalen and Ryan Estes, Kitcaster connects clients with podcasts to enhance brand visibility and share executive expertise. The company has earned recognition from Inc. Magazine, ColoradoBiz Magazine, and Denver Business Journal.
Podcast Market Growth
Podcasting emerges as a significant brand engagement channel with over 584 million listeners globally. Data indicates that 55% of the U.S. population aged 12 and older listens to podcasts monthly, with ad spending projected to reach $4.46 billion in 2025.
“Podcasting has become one of the most powerful tools for thought leadership today,” said Gilad Bechar, founder and CEO of Moburst, in a press release. “With Kitcaster, we are able to offer another avenue to engage with key client audiences, ensuring we deliver impactful and proven results.”
Approach to Media Channels
Moburst’s acquisition aligns with its focus on measurable growth through precision targeting. Bechar has been vocal about the industry’s challenges with vanity metrics, emphasizing the importance of business impact over raw audience numbers.
“Most agencies talk about business impact, but they don’t have the numbers to back it up,” Bechar recently explained in an interview with Net Influencer. This data-first approach informs Moburst’s expansion strategy and service delivery across media channels.
Integration and Expansion Strategy
Kitcaster and its 52 active clients will integrate into Uproar by Moburst, the company’s new public relations division. Ryan Estes, Kitcaster co-founder, noted, “Joining Moburst gives us the ability to offer our clients even more comprehensive services and capabilities.”
Since its founding in 2013 as a mobile marketing firm, Moburst has expanded to 27 specialized services through strategic acquisitions of complementary agencies. The company now serves major brands, including Google, Microsoft Gaming, Uber, and Robinhood.
“Our acquisition strategy focuses on building best-in-class services and bringing them all under one roof,” explained Bechar. Moburst has offices in New York City, Miami, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, London, Orlando, and now Denver, where Kitcaster is based.
