MrBeast Responds To Backlash Over New Lunchables Competitor Brand Launched With Logan Paul, KSI
Content creators MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI are entering the packaged lunch market with Lunchly.
The venture aims to compete with established brands like Lunchables by offering what the creators describe as a “better-for-you lunch option.”
However, fellow content creators have criticized the new lunch kit brand.
DramaAlert, an X account, shared screenshots of YouTubers expressing disapproval of the new product. DanDTM accused the creators of “selling c*** to kids who don’t know better,” while Squiddy questioned why they aren’t promoting healthier eating habits instead.

YouTube star MrBeast took it to X to respond to the backlash and defend his new lunch kit brand.
MrBeast highlighted Lunchly’s nutritional advantages over Lunchables. He claims their turkey meal contains 80 fewer calories, 60% less sugar, and more electrolytes than its competitor. MrBeast also points out the use of real cheese in Lunchly products, contrasting with Lunchables’ “cheese product.”
Nutritional comparisons between Lunchly and Lunchables show some differences. Lunchly’s Fiesta Nachos contains 10 grams of sugar and 360 calories, compared to 22 grams and 450 calories in the Lunchables equivalent. Similar patterns are observed in other product comparisons.
However, a community note on MrBeast’s post references past criticism of his Feastables chocolate brand, which initially marketed itself as healthier but later reformulated its recipe.
Recent nutritional concerns have emerged regarding traditional packaged lunch options.
In April, Consumer Reports conducted a study on Lunchables and similar meal kits, revealing the presence of heavy metals, including lead, at levels deemed “relatively high” by the organization.
“There’s a lot to be concerned about in these kits,” said Amy Keating, a registered dietician at Consumer Reports. She pointed out their highly processed nature and noted that regular consumption of processed meat, a key component in many such products, had been associated with increased cancer risks in some studies.
Research published in The BMJ indicates that ultra-processed foods account for nearly 60% of energy intake in the U.S. Studies have associated these foods with increased risks of heart disease, diabetes, bowel cancer, and obesity.
While Lunchly may offer reduced sugar and calorie content compared to Lunchables, this doesn’t necessarily make it a healthy food option.
