MrBeast Throws Down The Gauntlet, Challenges T-Series CEO To A Boxing Match
YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, publicly challenged Bhushan Kumar, the chairman and managing director of India’s media giant T-Series, to a boxing match in a viral social media post.
On May 16, MrBeast took to X, posting an image that compares his YouTube channel’s subscriber count of over 258 million to T-Series’ 265 million subscribers, the highest on the platform. He captioned the image, “I challenge the CEO of T-Series to a boxing match.”
The post rapidly gained traction, amassing over 10,000 likes and 200,000 views within hours as fans reacted enthusiastically to the proposed bout between the two digital titans. Comments pour in, expressing excitement, with users declaring “Sub War Time Baby.”
MrBeast’s challenge comes amid his channel’s steady growth, gradually narrowing the once-considerable subscriber gap between himself and T-Series. The proposed match injects a new dynamic into their long-standing rivalry rooted in the 2019 PewDiePie vs. T-Series campaign, where MrBeast vocally supported the Swedish creator in his battle against T-Series for the most-subscribed YouTube channel title.
Supporting the challenge, MrBeast recently shared details of his intensive 10-month fitness regimen on social media. “I woke up and realized I was obese, so I started lifting and walking 12,500 steps a day,” he stated, providing before-and-after photos showcasing his physical transformation.
While Kumar has yet to officially respond, the audacious challenge from MrBeast continues fueling speculation and intrigue among fans worldwide regarding if and how this new chapter in the escalating rivalry between two of YouTube’s most subscribed channels may unfold.
