What many may call an overnight success, Nadia Madani has built a presence of over 150k followers on TikTok in less than two months.
Juggling the demands of her studies with the exhausting aspects of sudden fame, Nadia’s online journey is a mix of luck, creative challenges, and high aspirations.
From documenting her beauty routines to her ongoing collaboration with Fashion Nova, read along to learn more about her journey of navigating fashion and beauty with minimal professional experience.
Who is Nadia Off Camera?
“I’m a 23-year-old political science graduate who aspires to make the world a better place through my professional and creative pursuits,” she tells us in an exclusive.
Her main passion is politics. “I am deeply fascinated by it and driven by the desire to have a positive and moral impact on the world around me,” she adds.
Similar to content creation, Nadia’s life pursuits are centered around leading an impactful path and improving the lives of those around her.
What Inspired You To Start Content Creation?
Initially, Nadia started content creation casually, featuring TikToks of her daily adventures with friends. As the pandemic unfolded, her focus shifted, transforming her social media into a more introspective reflection of her life.
“It all started as a daily diary documenting my beauty routine and habits, but it quickly evolved into a resourceful platform for those interested in beauty and fashion,” she tells us.
She never sought widespread popularity initially, but she was signed by a talent agency and offered numerous brand deals early in her career.
What Inspires The Creation Of Your Next Video?
Nadia explains her approach to content creation by focusing on authenticity and spontaneity:
“Especially now, I’m prioritizing the authenticity of my content by ensuring everything I produce feels natural and true to myself.”
“This means creating content only when it feels right, rather than forcing it to keep up with trends or external expectations.”
Nadia emphasizes the importance of being attuned to her creative impulses, which guides her in producing content that resonates deeply with her audience.
“I’ve found that my best work comes from listening to my impulsive creative thoughts and letting my creativity flow naturally. When I follow these spontaneous ideas, it not only makes the content creation process more enjoyable but also more genuine.”
Quality Over Quantity
Her approach has helped her maintain a unique voice in a crowded and competitive space.
By not succumbing to the pressure of trends, she creates content that fulfills her creatively and connects with her followers, making her digital presence a true reflection of who she is.
She elaborates, “I know for a fact with TikTok, consistency is key, but when I first started being consistent almost every day, that also burned me out as a creator because I realized that I was just making content for the sake of being consistent and it wasn’t up to standard.”
What’s It Like Being a Fashion Nova Ambassador?
“Although fashion remains a significant part of my life, I’ve chosen to reduce my focus on showcasing it online,” Nadia explains.
Highlighting a notable shift in her content strategy, she emphasizes, “Currently, my content is geared more towards products that resonate with my evolving religious beliefs and personal style.”
She highlights the positive impact of her role with Fashion Nova, saying, “Being a Fashion Nova ambassador has been transformative and fulfilling.”
Working as a Fashion Nova ambassador has allowed her to expand her style and be open to trying new things. She is thankful for all the opportunities it has presented over the past few years.
She explains, “I initially started working with them through my agency, and even after I ended my contract with the agency, I chose to continue as a Fashion Nova ambassador. It’s been about four years now.”
What Does a Day in the Life Look Like?
Balancing her busy life as a political graduate, the demand for creative content, and a socially engaged personal life, Nadia’s creative drive is inspired by moods, the weather, and more.
“My days are not only productive but also incredibly flexible, allowing me to shape them as I see fit. The freedom to manage my schedule is a significant perk, ensuring that as long as I produce content by day’s end, how and when I do it is all up to me,” she explains.
What’s The Highest Of Highs You Wish To Achieve?
When asked about the highest achievements she hopes to accomplish with her content, Nadia expresses her aspirations: “I just hope to reach a point where my content can inspire people of all ages and demographics.
“Currently, I’m focused on skincare, and my audience is predominantly young women, however, I aspire to expand my reach and teach skincare and beauty tips to a broader audience.
“I believe skincare shouldn’t be marketed exclusively to women. It’s about making everyone feel great about themselves.”
“I would love to adjust the content format because I have many male friends who have tried my skincare routines and loved the results,” she elaborates. “This shows there’s a significant potential to diversify the audience and make the content more inclusive for everyone, regardless of gender.”
What Advice Do You Have for Aspiring Creators in the Same Niche?
Nadia suggests that any creator can best serve their community and better the lives of others around them by maintaining an authentic personality and creating content that reflects their “true colors.”
“Create content when it feels right, not just because you feel pressured or because it’s trending, and add a unique twist on anything that’s popular,” she says.
Nadia highlights that this approach helps maintain personal integrity and resonates with the engaged majority of her audience.
If You Were to Start All Over Again, What Would You Do Differently?
Reflecting on her journey, Nadia tells us that if she were to change anything about her approach, she would work to maintain the natural, spontaneous essence of the content she evolved into producing.
“I would just remind myself that content is always supposed to feel natural and hold back on impulse posts that aren’t an accurate reflection of my values and personality,” she says.
Do You Aim To Make Content Creation Your Full-time Career?
“Yeah, for sure. I’d absolutely love to. Honestly, that’s the goal. It’s the ideal situation because you’re doing something you love.”
She expresses optimism about the future, hoping to transition to a profitable full-time content creation role. “I hope to reach a point where I can dedicate all my professional energy to this again and make it my full-time career.”
