From Crisis To Opportunity: Ogilvy’s Influence Shield Promises To Turn Brand Nightmares Around

Ogilvy PR launched Influence Shield, a global risk management service that enhances brand safety in influencer marketing.

The new offering combines the agency’s social media expertise with its reputation and crisis management capabilities.

The key tools Influence Shield provides include campaign risk assessment, enhanced influencer vetting, 24/7 issue monitoring, rapid crisis response, and influencer onboarding.

Available to Ogilvy clients worldwide, the service is designed to build brand confidence by mitigating risks associated with influencer partnerships.

Toby Conlon, Ogilvy PR’s Global Head of Crisis and Risk, states, “Risk is nothing new to businesses, but influencer marketing has become such a dominant force it represents the new frontier for brand reputation. Many businesses are finding out the hard way.”

Rahul Titus, Global Head of Influence at Ogilvy, adds, “Influence is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’ for brands. It’s a business-critical channel. Influence Shield equips brands with the foresight and agility to navigate risk proactively, turning potential pitfalls into opportunities for greater impact and trust.”

The service leverages Ogilvy’s network of over 400 dedicated influencer practitioners across 38 countries. This launch follows the agency’s introduction of a health influence unit in April.

For the sixth consecutive year, Ogilvy was the most awarded agency at the 2024 Global Influencer Marketing Awards and was named Best Large Influencer Marketing Agency.

PRWeek estimates Ogilvy PR to be the 11th largest communications consultancy in the UK with 2023 revenues of £48 million.
