Ryan’s World Ventures Into Cinema With “Titan Universe Adventure”
Popular YouTube channel Ryan’s World is set to debut its first theatrical release on August 16.
The 80-minute action-comedy, “Ryan’s World The Movie: Titan Universe Adventure,” blends live-action with anime-inspired animation from Shin-Ei studio.
The film represents a new frontier for YouTube creators, being the first wide-release theatrical movie from the platform.
It features the Kaji family alongside other YouTube stars, including the GEM Sisters, magician Dan Rhodes, and The Stella Show.
Ryan, the young star behind the billion-dollar empire, shares insights into the transition from the social media video platform to the cinema in an interview with YouTube.
YouTube vs. Movie Making
“It’s always been my dream to make a movie for movie theaters,” Ryan told YT’s team, noting the stark differences between filming for YouTube and producing a feature film.
The movie production process presented new challenges for the young creator.
“Even though some of my videos are pretend, they’re closer to real life,” Ryan explained. He contrasts this with the movie’s structured environment, involving scripts, large crews, and multiple takes.
Ryan emphasizes the learning curve involved in the filmmaking process.
“Patience!” he answered when asked about his biggest takeaway. “The process takes longer with the script, lighting, and all of the people helping out, and you don’t see what the movie looks like until later.”
The film incorporates elements contributing to Ryan’s World’s success on YouTube, including family involvement and collaborations with other creators.
Ryan expressed excitement about working with experienced actors and seeing the final product, particularly the animation.
