ShopMy Reports New Creator Marketing Tool Testing Yielded 5x ROI Results

Social commerce platform ShopMy announced that its new feature, “ShopMy Opportunities,” has demonstrated an average 5x return on investment (ROI) during beta testing. The company unveiled this tool as an alternative to traditional paid social and search advertising for brands seeking to collaborate with content creators.

The Opportunities feature allows brands to offer fixed payments to creators for guaranteed social media mentions. According to ShopMy, this approach provides brands with organic content placements and high-quality engagement at scale, supported by real-time data analytics.

The tool’s beta testing involved brands such as Chan Luu, Dr.Diamond Metacine, and SIMKHAI. ShopMy states that these tests showed increased brand engagement and trust in addition to the reported ROI.

For creators, the tool offers guaranteed payments for completing an Opportunity and commission-based earnings. ShopMy reports that this model allows creators full control over their content without traditional campaign constraints or approval processes.

Elizabeth Cook, a content creator with 24,000 followers who participated in the beta test, describes the feature as “a game changer for both the creator and the brand.” Cook notes the key benefits of providing brands with real-time data and the flexibility for authentic content creation.

ShopMy CEO Harry Rein expects mass adoption of Opportunities, citing a 70% adoption rate of the company’s recent Lookbooks instant gifting feature. He states that early results show returns “significantly outperforming comparable channels.”

The company described ShopMy Opportunities as a hybrid between performance-based affiliate marketing and paid social campaigns. Key features include guaranteed payments for creators, elimination of content reviews, and competitive cost-per-click rates compared to traditional advertising channels.

ShopMy recently announced a $26.5 million Series A funding round led by Inspired Capital, AlleyCorp, and ShopMy creators. Founded in 2020, ShopMy currently employs 50 people across the United States.
