Streamer Adin Ross Reinstated On Twitch After Two-Year Ban

Streamer Adin Ross has returned to Twitch following an indefinite ban imposed in February 2023. The reinstatement comes amid Twitch’s recent policy changes that removed permanent bans from the platform on February 20, 2025.

Upon his reinstatement, Ross’s Twitch follower count had been reset. Prior to his ban, Ross had accumulated approximately 7 million followers on the platform.

According to Dexerto, Twitch typically restores follower counts for unbanned streamers, though the timeline for this process is uncertain in Ross’s case, given the unusual length of his suspension.

As of writing, Ross has 1.7 million followers on the streaming platform, surpassing his count on Kick, where he currently has 1.6 million followers.

Ban History and Migration to Kick

As Sportskeeda reports, Ross’s ban in 2023 came after seven previous disciplinary actions on Twitch, including three suspensions between 2020 and 2022 for using slurs. His final ban resulted from leaving his unmoderated Kick chat displaying hateful language.

Following his removal from Twitch, Ross became a prominent figure on Kick, where he held the position of most-followed content creator until October 2024. During his absence from Twitch, Ross continued producing content with various celebrities, including a stream with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Twitch’s New Disciplinary Framework

Ross’s return aligns with Twitch’s updated Community Guidelines, which introduced an “escalating consequences” approach, replacing indefinite suspensions. Under the new framework, streamers can request unbans after six months, and past violations expire after set periods.

The guideline states: “If your account was previously indefinitely suspended, it will remain so, and to restore access, you can submit an appeal or request reinstatement of your account if you’ve been indefinitely suspended for longer than six months.”

Ross has not yet disclosed whether he plans to stream exclusively on Twitch or maintain his presence across both platforms.
