TalkShopLive Unlocks New Retail Customer Pool With Shoppable Simulcast Instagram Launch
Major video commerce and retail media platform TalkShopLive unveiled the launch of its innovative Shoppable Simulcast feature on Instagram. Shoppable Simulcast allows sellers to seamlessly simulcast their fully shoppable livestreams to different social media platforms at the same time as TalkShopLive.
The product made its debut with a livestream featuring Grammy-nominated artist, producer, songwriter, and actor Benny Blanco on March 4, 2024.
Blanco showcased signed copies of his new cookbook and entertaining guide, Open Wide. Streamed in association with TalkShopLive’s media partner Billboard, the event embeds across multiple platforms, including Billboard.com, Billboard’s Instagram and Facebook pages, Blanco’s Instagram and Facebook pages, and TalkShop.Live, as well as TalkShopLive’s content distribution network.
“We are constantly innovating to create the best shoppable experiences that drive distribution and eliminate friction in the path to purchase,” said TalkShopLive CEO and Co-Founder Bryan Moore.
He explained why the Meta deal was important and how it benefits his business and the creator economy in general. “By expanding our partnership with Meta to add the Instagram Shoppable Simulcast, TalkShopLive has created a scalable solution for any retailer, brand, or creator to go live across Facebook and Instagram while providing a seamless shopping experience.”
The Shoppable Simulcast feature builds on TalkShopLive’s existing Facebook integration. It allows sellers to stream to Instagram and Facebook – up to four pages simultaneously. Followers receive an alert when the seller goes live, enabling them to watch and shop directly within the social networks. Customers can comment “BUY” to receive a direct message with purchase links without leaving the platform.
Moore emphasized that “scalability, distribution, and friction-free are the future of live shopping.” Shoppable Simulcast aims to amp up TalkShopLive’s Distribution Network by connecting brands and sellers with customers across multiple platforms.
TalkShopLive’s invested efforts to drive live commerce have earned the startup acclaim. Fast Company recently named the commerce solution one of the world’s “Most Innovative Companies” and AdExchanger presented it with the “Best Early-Stage Technology Company” award for 2023. The growing platform continuously attracts celebrities, publishers, and brands with its sophisticated buying experience and multi-embed point-of-sale technology.
Retailers harness TalkShopLive’s shoppable content by simultaneously sharing livestreams on their domains and social platforms, teaming up with publishers and suppliers to open up multiple fronts. The startup has powered shoppable livestreams for retail giants Walmart, Target, and Best Buy, publishing ventures Conde Nast and Hearst, and celebs like Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, Reneé Rapp, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, and Sabrina Carpenter.
