Target Alum-Turned-Fashion Influencer Jeneé Naylor Brings Her Retail Expertise To The Brand’s Latest Line
Target unveiled its latest Future Collective collaboration featuring over 70 pieces designed by former Target employee and current fashion influencer Jeneé Naylor. The collection, available now at select Target stores and on the brand’s website, champions inclusivity with a range of sizes from XXS to 4X and most pieces priced under $35.
Naylor joined Target in 2012 and rose through the ranks to become a store director in the Washington D.C. area after seven years with the company. Her tenure equipped her with critical skills like attention to detail, project management, leadership, strategy, and execution – assets she leveraged when transitioning into content creation.
While still a Target employee, Naylor began sharing outfit photos on social media, leading to the launch of her fashion website, blog, YouTube channel, and, ultimately, her career as an influencer. “From sketching designs in high school to working in retail, fashion has always been a passion of mine,” Naylor told Target.
The Future Collective line marks a full-circle moment for Naylor, who cites opening Target’s first small-format store on the East Coast at the University of Maryland as one of her fondest memories with the brand. Key pieces include a sleeveless mini dress with a corset bodice, high-rise belted shorts, wide-leg jeans, an open-stitch ankle-length dress, and various sweaters and tops made from sustainable materials like recycled polyester.
The announcement emphasized how Naylor’s 11-year history with Target provided a unique professional experience to draw from in designing her collection. The influencer expressed excitement about guests experiencing the intentional design and quality materialization behind each garment.
