TikTok Media Buying Exam: The 2-Year Credential For Agencies To Prove Their Ad Expertise
TikTok’s Media Buying Certification exam is a credential for digital marketers who want to demonstrate expertise in advertising on the platform. The certification, valid for two years, aims to help businesses identify TikTok experts and provides marketers with a tool to showcase their skills.

Becoming TikTok Certified helps open doors to exciting job opportunities and helps professionals accelerate their careers in digital marketing,” said Melissa Yang, Global Head of Marketing Partnerships & Industry Education at TikTok
The exam targets marketers familiar with TikTok for Business who have experience running campaigns using TikTok Ads Manager. TikTok recommends candidates have at least one year of agency experience in media buying on the platform or equivalent training.
The certification covers topics including TikTok’s advertising platform and products, creative basics, data connections, and end-to-end campaign management. Registered candidates receive access to preparation resources, including a study guide and practice test.
Conducted in a proctored environment, either in-person at a testing center or online, the exam is currently available in English, with more languages planned for the future. Successful candidates receive an official TikTok Media Buying Certification and verifiable accreditation, which they can display on their resumé and online networks.
