TikTok Partners With Sky For UK & Ireland Creator Awards Show

TikTok has announced its first awards ceremony for the UK & Ireland market, partnering with European media company Sky to recognize content creators across 12 categories.

The live event, scheduled for December 3, will stream on TikTok’s official UK account starting at 8 PM local time (3 PM EST/noon PST).

Television personality Michelle Visage will host the ceremony, which will feature musical performances from Sugababes, emerging artist LeoStayTrill, and Bimini. Creators Sarel and Charley Marlowe will serve as red-carpet correspondents.

The awards span diverse content categories, including “Creator of the Year” and “Video of the Year,” and specialized segments for sports, food, travel, and education content: Sky Sports, Lidl, Adobe Express, and e.l.f. Cosmetics join as category sponsors.

Notable nominees in the “Creator of the Year” category, presented by Sky, include fitness creator James Doyle (@jamesdoylefitness), business personality Simon Squibb (@simonsquibb), and content producer Asher Glean (@asherglean).

The “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” category features emerging musicians Jordan Adetunji (@jordanadetunji), Myles Smith (@mylessmithuk), and Rachel Chinouriri (@rachelchinouriri).

TikTok has opened public voting through its in-app Awards Hub, which can be accessed by searching “TikTok Awards.” The platform encourages community participation through the #TikTokAwardsUKIE hashtag.

The event includes partnerships with Pepsi MAX for beverages and will feature behind-the-scenes content from creators. Users can watch the full ceremony through simultaneous broadcasts on the @TikTok_UK and @HelloSky accounts.

TikTok also recently announced the return of its Ad Awards for 2025, introducing a new category aimed at small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The platform reports that 350k small businesses use TikTok for advertising. Emplifi research shows that TikTok video ads generate 15x more impressions than Facebook and Instagram Reels ads.
