CAA Signs TikTok Star TooTurntTony As His Ice Tea Brand And Viral Content Go Mainstream
Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has signed Anthony “Tony” Dawson, better known as TooTurntTony, for representation.
Dawson, a TikTok star with over 20 million followers, has gained popularity through comedic short-form videos featuring his family and pet ducks.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dawson consistently ranks among TikTok’s top 20 most-viewed short-form creators. He has collaborated with brands such as Crocs, Fireball Whisky, and Celsius.
He also uses his platform to advocate for wildlife conservation.
In 2023, Dawson launched Too Turnt Tea, an alcoholic ice tea beverage. The brand has sold over 1 million 12-packs in its first year, leading to Dawson’s inclusion on Forbes’ list of top-earning creators for 2023.
The company recently introduced 24oz. cans labeled “Too Turnt Daddy.”
With CAA’s backing, Dawson plans to expand his brand into new merchandise products. The partnership will explore opportunities in unscripted television, podcasting, and a potential Too Turnt cruise.
Dawson’s content often features his family members and their antics, contributing to his wide online fan base across platforms, including Instagram and YouTube. His pet duck, “Baby Girl,” frequently appears in his viral videos.
Growing Talent Roster
CAA has been on the hunt for digital talent lately.
The agency recently signed various social media personas and aspiring content creators, including creator/actress Yuri Lamasbella, known for her Kardashian family parodies.
In May, CAA snagged YouTuber LaurenZside, also known as Lauren Weber. The gaming content creator has amassed over 13 million combined followers across social media platforms and nearly 4 billion views on her YouTube channel.
In March, the agency signed Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson, an Atlanta-based law enforcement officer and video blogger.
Johnson’s success comes from her 50-part TikTok series “Who TF Did I Marry?”, which collected over 400 million impressions in less than three weeks.
