Research Shows These 3 U.S. States Are Top Influencer Havens

A new study by QR Code Generator, cited by Valdosta Today, reveals that Arizona, Oklahoma, and Georgia are the top three states for social media influencers in the United States. The research, which analyzed six metrics across all 50 states, provides insights into the geographical advantages for content creators in the growing influencer industry.

Arizona tops the list with a score of 77.70 out of 100. It boasts 3,806 hours of annual sunshine and 193 clear days, the highest in the nation for both categories. The state also offers a relatively low average income tax rate of 3% and ranks tenth in average temperature at 60.3°F. Arizona-related hashtags appear in 54.5 million Instagram posts, ranking tenth in social media visibility.

Oklahoma secures second place with a score of 68.42. The state enjoys 3,089 hours of sunshine and 139 clear days annually, ranking fifth in both metrics. Oklahoma matches Arizona’s 3% average income tax rate and is featured in 13 million Instagram hashtags.

Georgia claims the third spot, scoring 66.53. The state stands out with the fifth-highest number of Instagram hashtags at 77.9 million and the fifth-highest average temperature at 63.5°F. It also boasts the ninth-fastest internet speed at 414.9 Mbps and records 2,986 hours of annual sunshine, ranking tenth nationwide.

According to Valdosta Today, the study considered factors such as average internet speed, income taxes, average temperature, hours of sunshine, number of clear days annually, and Instagram hashtags featuring the five most populated cities in each state. These metrics were scored out of 100 to determine the overall ranking.

Other states in the top ten include New Mexico, Colorado, Virginia, Louisiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Alabama. Alaska ranks as the least favorable state for influencers, scoring 13.79 out of 100, despite having no individual income tax. The state’s low average temperature of 26.6°F and limited sunshine hours contribute to its bottom ranking.

The research highlights the importance of factors like favorable weather conditions, which may reduce the need for photo editing, and faster internet speeds, which can streamline content creation and uploading processes.
