Martech Network Wondrlab Acquires One Of India’s Biggest Influencer Marketing Platforms

Marketing tech network Wondrlab has acquired OPA, one of India’s largest influencer marketing platforms.

This is Wondrlab’s sixth acquisition overall and its second in the influencer marketing space, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its platform offerings and position in the creator economy.

OPA collaborates with over 300,000 influencers and 500+ brands, including Nykaa, Vero Moda, Purplle, Sugar, and Plum. The platform facilitates 40,000 collaborations monthly and is powered by an advanced tech stack and user interface that simplifies influencer marketing.

“We are super excited to welcome OPA to the Wondrlab family,” said Saurabh Varma, Founder & CEO of Wondrlab Network, in a news release. “We remain extremely bullish about the creator economy and believe that mid-funnel and driving engagement will be critical for every brand.”

Rupansh Goyal and Chandan Routray, Co-Founders of OPA and both IIT graduates, expressed enthusiasm about joining Wondrlab.

“Wondrlab is a team of heavy hitters in the marketing landscape,” Goyal states. “Their unparalleled expertise in scaling businesses and our technology create an ideal partnership.”

“OPA has only just scratched the surface of the creator economy with branded collaborations,” Routray adds. “With Wondrlab’s 360-degree marketing expertise and deep industry knowledge, we are excited to begin this new chapter.”

Wondrlab has previously acquired What’s Your Problem (WYP) and Opportune to enhance its digital services, as well as WebTalk, a marketing agency in Poland, to expand internationally. The company plans to establish offices in Vietnam, the U.S., and West Asia.

The company invests heavily in technology, particularly AI, to improve client services and operational efficiency. Its platform, Hector, assists brands in managing their expenditures on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart.

To date, Wondrlab has secured over $13 million in funding and plans to raise additional capital to support its expansion.

The OPA acquisition comes at a time when digital media advertising is projected to grow significantly.

A recent Kofluence report revealed that by 2028, over 80% of Indian brands are expected to spend up to 30% of their marketing budgets on influencer collaborations. Total industry spending is projected to reach $2.8-3.5 billion during this period.
